About this tool

Text arrives in the wrong case constantly: a heading pasted from a document in all caps, a name typed in lowercase, a product title that needs to become a URL slug. Retyping is wasteful and shouting capitals are genuinely harder to read, which is why style guides discourage them.

Six modes cover both writing and technical needs. Sentence case capitalises the first word of each sentence. Title Case capitalises every word. Kebab and snake case strip punctuation and join words with hyphens or underscores, which is exactly what URLs, filenames and database columns want.

Questions people ask

Does title case skip small words?
No — every word is capitalised. Adjust 'of' and 'the' by hand if your style guide requires it.
What is kebab case for?
URL slugs and filenames: 'My Great Post' becomes 'my-great-post'.
Are acronyms preserved?
Lower and sentence case will lowercase them, so check acronyms after converting.
