About this tool

Sideways photos happen because phones record orientation as a tag rather than rotating the pixels, and plenty of software ignores that tag. The image looks fine in your gallery and arrives sideways in a document or an upload.

Rotating here changes the pixels themselves, so the corrected orientation survives everywhere. Rotation is lossless in terms of image data — nothing is resampled — and a whole batch can be turned the same way in one run.

What it's good for

  • Fixing a photo that appears sideways after uploading.
  • Correcting scans fed into the scanner the wrong way round.
  • Turning a landscape photo upright for a portrait layout.
  • Rotating a batch of images from the same camera.

Features

  • Pixels rotated

Not just an orientation tag, so it holds everywhere.

  • Three angles

    90°, 180° and 270°.

  • No quality loss

Right-angle rotation does not resample the image.

  • Batch

Turn a whole set at once.

Questions people ask

Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
Only right angles are offered, which keeps the result lossless and free of blank corners.
Why did my photo look right before?
Your viewer respected the orientation tag; other software does not.
Does it work on scans?
Yes, any JPG, PNG or WebP.
